Chinese New Year family portrait promo session with Yap family, it was a busy day, get to know that miss Yap went to the same high school with me, lovely family with beautiful grandmother, happy day indeed.
This is one of the CNY portrait promo we did in 2014, finally Agnes able to engage us for a small session where she did not manage to get us for their wedding session. Agnes hubby is a korean, I am glad that I am able to talk a little Korean with him and shared some jokes about their country, where he finds Malaysia a very hot country hehe.
It is a great opportunity when Philip Tsang from HK sent me a message one day and asked if I am willing to do a short sharing session together with Lewis Lau from Hong Kong, looking at my schedule and surprisingly I am free that day so I promised. This will be my first time to be appeared under ASIA WPA name, though they have lots of events held over in China and Hong Kong, this might be the first time they have such things going on in Malaysia and I am so proud that they have decided to use our studio (Le Petit Studio) as the based for this talk. During the discussion I replied that there might be a risk here where the talk is going to be held during the Chinese New Year season so we all crossing our fingers for this, however, the moment we launched the banner in our page, the seats are all taken within 24 hours. I have just had a small idea in my mind on what to say on this day, so me and Lewis are looking forward to see those of you that managed to grab a seat. Cheers!
A well decorated wedding morning ceremony led by famous wedding planer Stephen Foong. Frederik is from Belgium and E Hun is from Malaysia, they had their wedding ceremony back in Belgium where that was the country that I about to visit very soon. Just get to know that E Hun is a very talented person and we shared similar background as she was also participated the trip-language competition in Malaysia which I had also took part, only that she represents Pin Hwa Independent School in Klang and I was the one from Chung Hua.
Its part of our journey to continue to inspire the young generations to enhance their inspirations through our photography business, so that more people are able to turn from negative to positive mentality. That remains as our dream and what we believe in our everyday work. It was a great pleasure to be invited to share a bit of my life experience to everyone. About how I run my business, what problems and struggles that I have faced and how I manage to pursue my dream to become a full time photographer. With lots of laughter and information, though I might not able to touch everyone of them, but I guess many have been seeded something valuable in order to propel their lives to a brighter future.

We had lots of on this special day of Jonathan and Micaela, the reason it was fun because of the funny character of this couple themselves. In the morning Jonathan had an awesome time during the gate crash, he is just very entertaining and he followed all the rules from the angry bridesmaids, they fed the groomsman with all sorts of exciting stuffs like usual, it was nice to see Jonathan's home, he has all the funny toys and characters everywhere due to his passion as an animator. Jonathan is a very fortunate man not only he has lovely Micaela but also a lovely family, parents that love him so much that still see him as a little boy.
Right after the tea ceremony we did some fun shots with the cute Combi together with the bridal party. Later we all headed to a unique Catholic Church in Singapore called St Mary of the Angels. The whole design of this church is quite unique where it is designed like a volleyball stadium. Furthermore, the priest was really young looking, I heard from Micaela that the priest was quite a charming and well educated guy but he decided to become a priest and made his parents very sad, but overall I think he is doing quite well, he is liberal, and he respect the photographers, quite an open minded guy. Thumps up to him. Jonathan and Micaela looked so serious in the church, it was my first time seeing them like this, hehe, they gave each other some smiles and I knew they can't keep the serious looking for long.
During the wedding dinner, we almost late for the event as someone had forgotten to pick us up in the hotel haha, but then we made sure all the decorations were well captured as those are all Micaela's hard work, we kept a copy of their special little invitation card, planned to frame it one day as a part of our memory. Jonathan did not had a long speech, but Micaela's version was quite awesome, she always being very real in any occasion due to his genuine personality and she doesn't care how people look at her so she was talking and talking haha... well the reason I wrote all these because I knew that she will laugh when she read it.
Jonathan and Micaela, thanks for making my very last assignment of the year so meaningful, and thanks for introducing your friends to us, thanks to all the meals we had in between and even while I was in Singapore. Thanks for making a trip to Kuala Lumpur to collect the album, we had lots of fun that night, you are truly a good friend. I just can't thank much. Like I say, I just hope all our couples are as nice as you. And seriously, I just hope your wedding can be longer like 10 years or 30 years because you guys are such a great companion haha.
I have been asked by a friend to provide this unique information for you. Let me give you 10 good reason why you should not hire a top wedding photographer. Because you simply might not able to bare this 10 reasons here.
1. Its not cheap. Top photographers are not extremely expensive because they need a living too, but in a measurable manner because they simply spend more time to create things which are extraordinary for you.
2. It's not a game of pay and receive. Hiring a top photographer simply need more time to dwell with them in order to fulfil their artistic needs because they simply love you so much that they want to know everything about you before shoot.
3. It's stressful. Yes, hiring a top photographer can be stressful because they demand a lot for themselves and this might put you into a stressful situation, but in the end you get something extraordinary, that's why the most difficult part for you is simply to cure that stressful feeling.
4. They might be too excited to shoot you and end up exceeding the expected shooting time. Yes, they are really passionate, they might be so excited to cover your wedding and you end up fulfilling his request by simply extending the time required in the contract, but in the end you get more pictures back anyway.
5. You might be brainwashed in the end. Top photographers are good at this kind of things where they might make you love your love ones even more than before and you end up being brainwashed.
6. You might fall in love with his works and that puts you in a situation where you and the photographer became good friends and no longer act like a normal service provider.
7. The top photographer will be always on the ball. Beware if you do not have time for extra works where he will keep on following up with you on picture selections or fill up a long list of forms in order for him to provide you the best service.
8. You will keep hearing his name. Your friends will be asking you to provide them his number and curious about how the session works or provide them your pictures for review. And the photographer will be wishing you in many festive seasons and you will keep hearing his name on and on. Please beware if you have sleeping problems.
9. You might end up spending more money. Hiring a top photographer is also means hiring an experienced person, whenever you have any doubts and ask about his advice, he will provide you with a very ideal scenarios or options, where you will feel so excited and took up his advice, please be aware that any move is money, and that is how you will end up spending more.
10. He might not able to fulfil what you intend to have. This simply because you will be receiving his works much better than what you expected to have, meaning to say that, he had improvised your thoughts.
