Malcolm and Pin had their wedding dinner in Noble Mansion PJ Plaza 33, both of this couple are working in Singapore. Just love the gown selection by Pin, both of this couple has a good taste in fashion and they made the simple event fun and alive with few different kinds of march in, hehe, I say its a very good day for me to cover this couple, handsome groom and pretty bride, nothing more can ask for and I made sure that most of the things happened and small little emotions are captured in a nice way. :)

Parallelism of the Past and the Future - Bernice Kong Personal Portrait in Tanjung Sepat

Portraits can be of many kinds, but those portraits that able to revive what was hidden, cure what has been a burden, made understanding whats important, leading a person's inner soul feeling lighter and further understood ones own self after a simple photoshoot session, we can say that we are the few that understood the essence of a true photoshoot can contribute to a person. Making it a unique experience that surpasses the importance of photo itself, but the most rewarding is the session itself. Only the subject are able to understood the feeling, its existential where it is difficult to share to another subject. Yea one can say its quite psychoanalytic, but isn't it wonderful that we make you visual yourself in a different dimension? We believe this is approach is far beyond what art can offer, because the heart always wins.

Jake & Yu Hwan Wedding Day in Melaka

Finally its the day for Jake & Yu Hwan, one of my favourite couple, we became good friends after our Bali pre-wedding assignment. Jake's profession is one of my ideal job over as he does forex trading in his house, way better than being a photographer hehe. One of Yu Hwan's favourite location is the Hokkaido Japan and Santorini in Greece, we almost done our shoot in either of this 2, after their session in Bali, Yu Hwan was still trying to have their shoot done in Hokkaido or Santorini, I'm still waiting for their invitation for a post-wedding shoot lol. Well I guess after the wedding our focus has shifted, most people does.

There were many key elements from turning an ordinary gate crash to an extraordinary one. One of the most memorable part was during our portrait session in Yu Hwan's room, her granny came over and ask if she was able to take some photos with her, by saying say it opens lots of possibilities where I did something much greater for her granny and Yu Hwan, I am certain that granny was very glad that both person able to further break the ice together in that dim room, I love those moments a lot. Since the room was dark, which was how I plan it, it created a different atmosphere for the veil session, and so Yu Hwan and her family fall in tears and thats how all these great moments was revealed.

Another memorable part was during the group photo of all the old folks in Jakes home, when I saw so many old folks sitting together, I realise there were something special about this group, and so I asked if they were sisters, and they said yes, for once I realised that this moment should be the most precious part of this wedding day, where all sisters able to sit together for a group photo, to me I felt in the event that one person is no longer here, this photo will became the most precious thing in their lives, and while I asked them to hold their hands, all of them smile with joy because I am able to connect with their heart at that moment. I felt that I have done something great for this family. In this universe there is this unsolved mystery of LOVE, we hope through these positive energies, we able to use pictures to allow one to rethink or recall, there is still abundant of goodness in this world, or outside the world. This is what the best part of being a photographer!

Darren & Tracy Family Portrait in Le Petit Studio

Darren and I had been friends for quite some time since the AirAsia days, had seen him and Tracy together for many years and finally decided to tie the knot and now with 2 beautiful kids, time flies. Darren has a few nice looking sisters they are were very smart and bright, if I remember correctly, one or two is working in Singapore, I guess its a special day where they finally had the chance to get together and this shot was taken for them in our Le Petit Studio. I did a 2 hours session for them with a hundred of pictures.

Actually come to think of it, even though I'm a photographer but my home is still missing some nice family pictures, I need to get some help to snap a few too. Thats life, the ones we shoot has many pictures at home, while the ones shooting have none. lol...

Tieng Wei Graduation in UPM

I have several enquiries for graduation portrait and finally I got this one from Tieng Wei, when Tieng Wei enquire me about the session, I asked her if she available to come for a discussion and she was curious about what I going to ask, she was surprised about the little things that I wanted to know before the shoot and suggested a theme for them, its like a pre-wedding session lol. Tieng Wei was very young and cheerful, she loves her family a lot and her 2 brothers that are still in school, since she graduated in the school of architecture so we went to her faculty for some shots and later in famous UPM farmfor some family portraitures, then I followed them to their house for some shots later on, the session ended not so short after all but as long they are happy I am fine, I wish that I could contribute some good memories for people, the process is almost like shooting a bride hehe. Tieng Wei is a unique girl with amazing personality, though her family is quite wealthy but she did not went overseas and instead she did her degree in local University, to her its no different, I hardly sense anything sad from her personality, she is just a pure hearted girl with a good family education, if you ask me, she is like the Cinderella in the movie, kind and brilliant.

Recalling Love - Andrew & Kathy Pre-Wedding

Funny couple meets funny photographer, young, energetic and lovely Kathy, filled with hope and pure soul, love is something she longing for, thats a good thing about being young. And Andrew is one funny guy, who is very straight forward and cheerful, he let Kathy does all the decision. From the outlook it looks like a normal pre-wedding session but this series serves a higher intention for the couple, before the pre-wedding Kathy and I had became good friends and she used to shared a lot to me about Andrew lol, thats the life go a photographer, we are always the sand bag hehe... anyway, we finally decided to use Andrew's house for the session, I just love their tiffany coloured wall, so we had an awesome funny session together with Gary too who was there to capture some of Andrew and Kathy footage. The beginning of the session we covered a little of light weighted theme with our magic to revive the feeling again, and later with something connected to their future during the gown session, I can feel that after the session, all confusion that Kathy had had been diminished right after and both person can see life in a newly discovered feeling of joy and positive thinking. :) We are looking forward to cover their wedding very soon.

The Equal Horizon - Keith & Suet May Pre-Wedding in Jeju Island, Korea

Quite an awesome experience for a virgin visit to Jeju Island, having a pre-wedding photo session here is always part of my list, however I am sure there are places that are far more better, just need to do a little bit more exploration because Jeju Island is really big. Both Suet May & Keith are colleagues, Keith is her boss and their relationship started on a business trip together, this couple has a very unique relationship where Suei May love to talk privately with Keith and provide her comments to him, due to the profession as an accountant, I guess she is a good helpful person that able to help Keith save lots of money for him. It is a little difficult to find out the deepest side of Keith and Suet May but the deepest side is where I love to find out on most emotional sessions but I always respect couples that wanted to keep the deepest side aside and express only the positive sides. We did a 1.5 day session in Jeju as there are simply too many things they wanted to cover and she does her own make up on the second day session. Actually our initial intention was to go New Zealand for the shoot but some how they changed the destination to Jeju, there goes my NZ trip. A day before the shoot we went for a day trip travelling around the island with our english speaking driver, good job done, we managed to found a few places without many tourist around and with nice views hehe. Finally we made it to the wind turbine, they are everywhere but to find a nice spot is difficult, we managed to found one at the road side and just love the series we got here. Often times couple looking for iconic places but they did not realise there will be many tourist and crowd that will make the photo session difficult to manage, sometimes taking away expectations, and venture into the unknowns, travel spontaneously, one might able to find something greater than expectation, that is not because of the photographer himself, it was because behind all greatness, there is this great thing call the memory, when both person able to be comfortable and given the time to love and discover one another, given the time to use their heart to speak, these photos are far more valuable than those you expected to be, because expectations is driven from FEAR, and FEAR is the greatest enemy for that personal reward.

Alfred & Aenon Garden Solemnisation in ROMemories, Johor Bharu

After accomplished Alfred and Aenon beloved session few months ago in Sepang Gold Coast, this day they invited me over to cover their small little garden solemnisation in ROMemories in Johor Bharu. It is a small intimate event with not more than 100 people, thanks to the nice and cozy weather that day, seeing people laugh and cry that day, I guess this is what both Alfred and Aenon is looking for, they just wanted a simple ceremony for their wedding, both of this couple are quite fluent in Japanese language so a japanese song was used on their portrait session and I guess that was the only slideshow presented during the ceremony, yea a simple one. The wedding dinner was similar to the Japanese way which is buffet style so it was not a very long event.
